The Globe Foundation created an internship in 2004 that allowed graduate students in the field of education to travel to Bangalore, India to participate in a unique partnership with the Globe Foundation and Christel House India Learning Center. Three PhD candidates from Indiana University's School of Education were selected. While in India the interns were assigned to Christel House India Learning Center to observe the educational processes and develop an online curriculum based on their observations of the students and teachers.

The online curriculum developed by the interns facilitate cross-cultural exchange and understanding that is universal enough to be responsive to numerous global contexts and particular enough to be relevant to local contexts. The online curriculum entitled "The Unfinished Story" provides students of all ages with an opportunity to develop his/her writing and creative skills. All students are given the same "beginning" of a story. Each child then writes his/her own creative "ending" to the story.

The internship was a six week program which included one week of orientation at the Christel House Academy in Indianapolis, Indiana prior to traveling abroad. The Christel House Academy focused on the academic development and achievement of each student as well as providing information about what to expect while living in Bangalore, India.
